the meeting began with the singing of song #28 the new song followed by the opening prayer.. .
Isn't this Annual Meeting something the 'corporation' needs to do in order to comply with rules governing corporations? Or is that one behind closed doors with zero invitees, or am I confused?

Ah, the noose is tightening...This is a 30-minute documentary, but the filmmaker is working on a "FEATURE DOCUMENTARY about religious shunning practices", in defending her thesis in completion of her M.F.A. I especially like the part about "a formally coded shunning process that has historically been either concealed or misrepresented by those who enforce it" (bolding mine).
When you shine a very bright light into a very dark corner, something is bound to be revealed! Does anyone know anything about the filmmaker? Was he/she ever a witness?
Anderson's Info, Randy - thanks for sharing.
i walk the streets, morning, noon and night, leash in one hand, blue "doggie bag" the other.
jake and i are quite a sight, as he's a handsome, gentle brute of a golden retriever with tawny mane and grey muzzle.
we're twins for looks but, otherwise, his prancing about on all fours contrasts sharply with my making do on two.
sheepishly raises hand - sorry Coco, I never got a chance to read part 1 but your part 2 is so beautifully written!
I could never hope to write something so eloquent and unfortunately, any dog stories I do tell might out me - we have 3 at present. Nevertheless, I really enjoyed YOUR story! Will have to look for part 1.
this is an interesting presentation.
robert h. lustig, md, ucsf professor of pediatrics in the division of endocrinology, explores the damage caused by sugary foods.
he argues that fructose (too much) and fiber (not enough) appear to be cornerstones of the obesity epidemic through their effects on insulin.. .
Leaving wt: This was worth watching absolutely every minute of - thanks so much for posting - I learned a whole lot and am passing this on to others...yes, it's 1.5 hours, but worth every minute!

For sure!
I heard the whole suite played by an orchestra (which shall remain nameless as it might out me!) a few years ago - JUPITER was my favourite!

designs - did they touch on his involvement with the Life of Brian movie in that HBO special?
how many of you have ever visited one of the branch offices or world headquarters of jehovah's witnesses?
i was an active witness for nearly thirty years and was associated with the cult for more than thirty-five before finally walking away for good last year.
during all those years i never made a trip to brooklyn bethel.

Here's a good book I've used to sniff out some of the more obscure sacred places to visit:

Another FANTASTIC spot I can highly recommend is Montserrat Monastery about 1.5 hours northwest of Barcelona in Spain. Haven't been to Stonehenge - that's still on my list!
On the WT Factory front, I could really relate to Painted Toe Nail's description of the tour guide with the personality of a limp dishrag! We must have had the same tour guide - can't really blame the guy though, seeing as to what the tour actually consisted of...

Pity I don't get HBO - would have loved to see that - last month's Rolling Stone mag had a wonderful article about George and his life; ironically there was also an article about the C8tholic Ch8rch and its latest payout re: molest8tion scandals.
